High oleic sunflower oil
PRODUCTION OF THE SEEDS:
High Oleic Sunflower Seeds are produced in the province of Buenos Aires. Mos of fields are located in the same town as the crushing factory.
Local farmers work with a pesticide- free form of production due to local legislation. Going Natural has developed long term relationships with them and has certified their fields as organic NOP and UE. By managing their certifications and buying their productions, we are in charge of the supply chain from the beginning of the process.
CHRUSING OF THE SEEDS:
in 2015 MBS Agroindustrias started by converting an old family mill into an oil crushing plant. They developed a business of oil extraction plant construction and specializing on seed crushing. Aquiring experience in oil crushing transformed them into oil experts. The plant works with an expeller pressed process that does not involve any chemical products, it does physical extraction of the seed to get its oil.
In 2020, Going Natural signed a joint venture to market organic crude oil from MBS to overseas markets.
OIL REFINERY:
After several years designing and constructing crushing and refinery plants, in 2017 MBS builds its own refinery to their crushing plant. Here, after getting the crude oil from the seeds, the Refining, Blanching, Deodorizing and Winterizing of the oil takes place. This refinery was designed specially for organic oil, the objective was to add value to the expeller press process and turn the plant into a full organic oil production for human consumption.
RBDW PROCESS:
Refining: Heat or steam is used to filter the oil for removal of phospholipids and the neutralization of fatty acids.
Blanching: use of natural clay and diatomaceous earth to aid in minimizing pigments, heavy metals, chlorophylls and carotenes.
Deodorizing: high temperature steaming process that aids in the removal of unwanted components such as protein fragments and any heavy metals that are present.
Winterizing: chilling the ingredient which forces the waxes to solidify. The waxes are then removed by filtration, resulting in an end product that is free and clear of residue.
CHARACTERISTICS AND BENEFITS
Fatty Acid Profile: These seeds were bred to have a higher % of oleic fatty acids. This monounsaturated fat content makes it less likely to oil to be oxidize when exposed to high-heat temperatures. In this regard, high oleic sunflower oil has significantly lower oxidation rates than polyunsaturated oils when used for cooking methods such as industrial deep-frying and other long- duration cooking times
High Smoke Point: High oleic sunflower oil has a high smoke point of 450°F (232°C) (6). This means that it can be heated to high temperatures without breaking down and smoking. When an oil breaks down, it can produce free radicals and toxic aldehydes, such as acrolein
Natural/Organic/Solvent free: Expeller pressed oil is obtained using only mechanical means, such as high pressure and heat. This extraction method retains the oil’s natural properties. While most oils are obtained by adding chemical solvents to the process to maximize the oil extraction, this method is more natural and leaves us with a healthier oil.
Final RBDW product: transparent high oleic sunflower oil with excellent oxidative stability that is neutral in odor and taste.
HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWER EXPELLER
According to the Argentinean Food Code Section XIX Section. 1075, Sunflower Expeller is the product obtained from the grinding of clean, healthy and well-preserved seeds of Helianthus annuus L., which have been subjected or not to partial or practically total removal processes of the oil they contain. Organic Sunflower Expeller is 100% natural, free of gluten and free from GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).

As garbanzo beans flour is know the milling of garbanzo beans grains (Cicer arietinum) clean, dry and free from foreign materials. Organic Chickpeas are 100% natural, free of gluten and free from GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).
